Reigate College in Surrey has been expanding its capacity for the last couple of years and as part of its recent addition of a new refectory the Property management team approached British Blind Company to come up with a solution to shade an area adjacent to the refectory where students could be protected not only from the sun but also from light wind and rain.
The solution was a Weinor Plaza Pro, a German designed all weather structure. This was fitted with a terracotta coloured water resistant cover which blended perfectly with the surrounding brickwork, and had white heavy duty support bars which mirrored the white rails around the front of the building.
This fixed frame awning measured 4.5 metres wide and had a projection of 5.5 metres which can not be attained with normal wall mounted awnings.
All of our operatives are trained to the highest level, fully insured and Health and Safety compliant and so carrying out this calibre of installation is no problem.
